Saw Unit Guidance

High-performance sawing technology requires backlash-free and low-maintenance guidance systems. Two vertically positioned square guide columns, one linear guidance unit with backlash-free carriages and two preloaded, adjustable guide rollers on a guide rail ensure high rigidity and cutting precision. The new KASTOtec is characterized by increased machining performance, shorter cutting times, longer blade life, maintenance-free guide system and high operational availability.

Bandsaw Blade Guidance

Side guidance via hydraulically preloaded carbide sliding guides, equipped with a quick-lift mechanism for fast blade changes. Back guidance via pivot-mounted carbide sliding guides. Automatic adjustment of the movable blade guide according to material width to be cut.

Material Quick-Lift Device

After completing the sawing operation in automatic cycle, the clamped workpiece is lifted approx. 2 mm from the feed end of the bandsaw by means of a material quick-lift device to prolong blade service life.
