Description / Scope of functions
A DSC is used for the thermal analysis of materials. It measures the heat flow that occurs in a sample during physical or chemical processes, while the sample is being precisely heated or cooled.

With this device, the following material properties can be analyzed:
- Melting and solidification temperatures
- Glass transition temperatures (Tg)
- Crystallization
- Phase transitions
- Reaction enthalpies
- Heat capacity
- Purity determination of substances
